Lady Crisette Ellis

P.A.W. 1st Lady Crisette M Ellis

First Lady Crisette is a native of Detroit and a graduate of Michigan State University where she majored in Public Affairs Management. She is married to Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, Senior Pastor of Greater Grace Temple and the Presiding Prelate of the P.A.W. (Pentecostal Assemblies of the World). They have two children, Kiera and Charles IV. Lady Crisette is the Director of the Powerful Women of Purpose (PWP) Women’s ministry at Greater Grace Temple where the goal is to encourage, motivate, inspire and most importantly empower women of God with the word of God.

Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, God inspired her to found the first ever women’s Boot Camp conference. The conference is the first military inspired women’s conference. Women from all over the world have attended this conference where innovative methods have been used to radically shift minds from thoughts of defeat to a mindset of believing that they are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus.

She is a minister of the gospel and motivational speaker who has traveled throughout the U.S.A. and abroad speaking and ministering at various women’s conferences, grade schools and universities. Her unique style and gifting has inspired multitudes to become all that God has created them to be. She exemplifies the scripture that states “To whom much is given, much shall be required”. Her favorite scripture is “Delight yourself also in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart”. Guided by these scriptures, Lady Crisette provides inspiration, empowerment and spiritual encouragement wherever she goes.

Lady Crisette is also a successful entrepreneur with Mary Kay cosmetics. In November of 2002, she made history by becoming Michigan’s first and youngest African American National Sales Director in Mary Kay. Through her business she has earned numerous awards, free cars, trips around the world as well as other substantial gifts. She is also the CEO of Affirmations by Crisette which is a lifestyle brand of affirmation empowerment tees and other products produced with a specific goal of encouraging and inspiring people to use their gifts and talents as well as to stay focused fulfilling their divine purpose. She is a true believer that life and death are in the power of the tongue and what you say will either enable you to be victorious or will hinder you from reaching your full potential.

In 2015, Crisette authored her first children’s affirmation book entitled “My Future Is So Bright . . . . . . Dream BIG” (crisetteellis.com). She is also one of the authors of a new book entitled “The Force of Friendship”, 100 powerful inspirational messages which is a collaborative effort between Lady Crisette and 6 of her very successful and phenomenal friends.

As a wife, mother, First Lady and entrepreneur, she enjoys encouraging and sowing seeds of optimism into the lives of her family, church members, community and all that she comes in contact with.

Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. Statement on Unrest

With approximately 4,000 churches around the globe, the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World have often been touched by public and political unrest… in Liberia, in Zimbabwe, in Haiti, in the Ukraine, just to mention a few.  Recent events have likewise intensified racial tensions in various communities of these United States.

As we, the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World have gathered in this awesome city of Kansas City, Missouri for our 2016 convention, we want to give voice to the pain and fears among the residents of communities in which our members and neighbors live.  Likewise, it is important for us to make clear our need for, and appreciation of those dedicated law enforcement officers that evenly and without prejudices enforce the laws in our communities; fostering peace and safety among our people.

Accordingly, we denounce both violence against the citizenry as well as violent retaliation or aggression against our law enforcement personnel. We also call upon all levels of policing agencies to publicly denounce those individuals within their ranks who abuse their authority when interacting with the citizenry. It is our belief that this practice will separate those few individuals from the many officers who honor the badge, authority and trust that has been given them under the constitution of this land. The Biblical words of Hebrews 12:14 admonishes us to “Follow peace with all men…”

Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. Statement on Same-Sex Marriage

On June 26, 2015, the majority of the United States Supreme Court rendered an opinion that has made same-sex marriage legal in all of the states of the Union. The High Court did not use the Holy Scriptures as the basis for its decision, but rather based it on the legal interpretation of the Constitution of the United States. The Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. goes on record to reaffirm its long-held position that marriage is a union between a man and a woman; with our decision being based on the Bible as the infallible Word of God. As Christian believers, we know that the Bible teaches marriage to be a lifelong union of one man and one woman; and we are called as Christian believers to proclaim and practice this doctrine. (St. Mark 10:6-9) Our ultimate trust is in God and not in any court or government. We trust God!

Our Lord and Savior declared that we are to be in the world but “not of the world” (John 17:15-16). The moral landscape of our society has definitely shifted, but we know that the Bible is yet right and God still reigns. In a democracy such as ours, we are to be ruled by laws. We as Christians have found ourselves at many intervals unable to find a biblical basis for key legal laws that govern our society. It is a fact that the United States of America has now added same-sex marriage to a list of legal rights which adults may exercise but the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. goes on record not to practice. As people of God, we refuse to exercise this particular legal right, knowing that the Bible is calling Christians to a life-style of holiness. We are not called to panic nor be anxious; we are called to live a holy life. We are called to live a Christian life as commanded by the Bible; we are called to be in the world but “not of the world.” We are called to trust God.

Love is central to a life of holiness. The Bible is clear that Christians are called to love all people. We must resist the temptation only to love those who think like us. Regardless of the personal religious convictions and moral choices of people, we are called to love. We are not commanded to agree with them on all topics. The Bible commands us to love (Matthew 22:39). We are also called to recognize the legal rights of all citizens, regardless of the legal moral choices that they make.

Living in a democratic and pluralistic society, clear legal rights have been granted to all citizens. We must remind everyone that our government grants the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. and other religious organizations the legal right for each of us to express our religious convictions, as well as to live out our doctrinal and moral teachings. It also grants us the right to co-exist with those whose beliefs and lifestyles differ from ours. More importantly, we believe the right to religious freedom is a God-given right. We call upon the government of the United States of America to aggressively protect and preserve the right of religious freedom for all Americans.

Finally, let us speak the truth with conviction and with care, with patience and with love. The church must prepare to receive wholeheartedly and minister effectively to people seeking the biblical understanding of marriage, a biblical Christian lifestyle, and the uncompromising gospel of Jesus Christ!

The corporation also developed The Walter S. Brooks Elderly Homes at Ormont Court, a supportive, 12 unit, elderly housing development that filled the void that exists due to limited availability of safe, affordable rental housing for senior citizens in the City of New Haven. BLDC’s most recent project is the redevelopment of a Brownfield’s site to provide accessible community based medical services. The development will not only provide a much needed service to the area’s new families and elderly residents, but will also add new job opportunities.

Bishop Brooks continues to seek opportunities to enlarge his territory; extend his “tent stakes”. He is also spreading the Good News of the Gospel of Christ through his own evangelistic vehicle – T.L. Brooks Ministries: A Garment of Praise which was founded in the summer of 2002. Through T.L. Brooks Ministries, he hopes to target the masses across the globe via the message that no person, no problem, or life circumstance is out of the reach of the life changing touch of Almighty God; who already, willingly paid the price to do whatever needs to be done. Under T.L. Brooks Ministries, he has authored two books: Complete In God: The Apostolic Faith Challenge, and Pleasing God: Striving For Spiritual Excellence.
