Now It Shall Spring Forth (Part 2)

Meet me in Cincinnati!

My beloved brothers and sisters of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, the time is drawing closer and closer to Spring Forth! The Convention Team is preparing to meet every PAW Inc. delegate, licensed minister, and supporter in the great City of Cincinnati, Ohio, where we will join more than 300,000 residents on the Ohio River for the 2019 International Summer Convention August 10 – August 17, 2019. Yes, it is convention time and we have some business to take care of both spiritually and naturally, but there are many sights and attractions in Cincinnati that we should all take a few moments to enjoy. Some of these sights include the Carew Tower Observation Deck, the historic Incline Public House, or the City’s many attractions, such astheCincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati Zoo, and Fountain Square, to name a few. This will definitely be a convention to remember! I certainly want to offer a special thanks to the Ohio District Council, under the leadership of Diocesan Bishop James W. Gaiters, Sr. and Council Chairman Bishop Melvin Brown, for hosting usat the Duke Energy Convention Center.

There is significant development underway throughout the City, which has impacted the availability of large hotels. When considering contracts, we learned these hotels were not ready to accommodate us, however we have confirmed several accommodations in close proximity to the convention center that are available now on the registration portal and we are in the process of securing additional hotels to meet the growing demand. “Now It Shall Spring Forth” is all about us growing…stepping out…and springing into the abundance of Christ with Apostolic power and authority. Jesus said in the second part of John 10:10, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” With Christ we are made new with peace, grace and hope. With Christ we are offered forgiveness through His love. With Christ we are redeemedbyHis blood. With Christ we are made perfect with the Holy Spirit. With Christ we are given victory over sin because of the power of God. And with Christ we are given access to the Fatherand can spring forth into eternal victory.

It is my desire to keep Christ in the center of our convention, thereforewe are making very special plans and some necessary changes. Please note a few of these changes… We are kicking off the week with a powerful Unity Prayer and Worship Service with 1st Asst. Presiding BishopMark C. Tolbert on Monday, August 12th at 8:00am. The Sacred Communion Service with Bishop Gregory Newman will be held on Monday, August 12th at 7:30pm. And the Consecration Service with 2nd Asst. Presiding Bishop Michael D. Hannah, Sr. will be held on Thursday, August 15th at 9:00am. Take note of these service times so you don’t miss these anointed men and opportunities to fellowship. We are coming together for prayer and worship with the expectation to see someone healed, set free, delivered and made new in Christ. As James 5:16 says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Join us!

Also, I am asking that each of us make the sacrifice to prepare our hearts to give and support the awesome efforts of the PAW Inc. I am specifically asking everyone to prepare to give a $20 seed in every major service or a one-time gift of $180 for the week. Your support will help us meet the financial obligations of this convention, along with helpour endeavors throughout the year, on both national and international fronts. All of our officers and licensed ministers have already begun giving their special offerings and I don’t want you to miss this opportunity to give and receive a blessing from the Lord.

As the scripture says in 2 Corinthians 9:7, “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” In this passage Paul writes to encourage the Corinthian church to support the work of ministry; not just ponder the needs, but actively contribute to meet those needs.

Proverbs 18:16 tells us that “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” God has put gifts and talents inside the hands of every person that the world will make room for. It is these gifts that will enable you to fulfill your mission. And it is these gifts — natural, spiritual and financial — that will also enable us to fulfill our mission to glorify our Saviorand vision to spread the Gospel throughout this world. Additionally, your generosity and kindness will help us sustain and grow our organization to serve all people, of every age and culture, and in every place. Thank you in advance for your gift!

Meet me in Cincinnati!…as we spring forth together!
