Dear Leaders, Saints, and Friends,
Our hearts are turned toward our beloved Indianapolis and communities throughout Indiana as families face the devastating effects of severe storms and historic flooding. We mourn with those who mourn the loss of loved ones and extend our deepest sympathy. May the God of all comfort hold them close in this hour of grief.
Even amid such sorrow, we give thanks for the extraordinary courage of first responders who entered dangerous waters to save others. Nearly 100 people were rescued from rising floodwaters, and we thank God for every life preserved.
We pray for every family whose life has been disrupted, for those displaced from their homes, those who have suffered loss, and those facing the uncertainty of recovery. May the Lord provide shelter, provision, peace, and strength for the days ahead.
We join forces in prayer for each of our Pentecostal Assemblies of the World churches throughout Indiana and their respective pastors, leaders, congregations, and families. May God strengthen their hands as they care for their members and communities, and may our churches be places where the love of Christ is made visible through prayer, generosity, and compassionate care.
Let us stand in prayer with the entire Body of Christ throughout Indiana and the Greater Indianapolis community. Scripture reminds us that though we are many members, we are one body in Christ. We will answer the call to bear one another’s burdens and demonstrate our love not simply in word, but also in our service.
As the waters recede and communities begin the difficult work of rebuilding, we hold fast to the promise that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. May He comfort those who mourn, strengthen those who serve, restore what has been broken, and use His Church as an instrument of hope and healing.
Please join us in fervent prayer for impacted communities throughout Indiana, our PAW churches and pastors, and all whose lives have been touched by these storms.
