Bishop Richard D. Howell Jr. is the Senior Pastor of Shiloh Temple International Ministries in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where for decades he has merged pastoral love and wisdom with executive precision. His ministry is not confined to the pulpit. When the world grieved the murder of George Floyd just blocks from his sanctuary, he was there — marching, praying, and leading clergy, business, and government leaders to take action across racial lines.

He is a husband to Pastor Bettye Howell, a former banking vice-president, prophetic voice, and champion for women in ministry. He is a father. A grandfather. A leader who understands that ministry begins at home before it reaches the world.

He is the recipient of the John Lewis Justice Award. The Chair of the Minnesota Council of Churches. He is the author of Faith in Action, Possess the Kingdom, and The Eden Experience. He has served the PAW in nearly every capacity of ministry — not because he sought titles, but because he always answers the call.

He understands that social justice is not politics — it is public holiness. He understands that excellence in execution must become our culture. And he understands, above all, that the Church in Motion does not drift — it moves with purpose, power, and prophetic clarity.
