We are a member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World’s Illinois District Council and offer a variety of worship services and ministries that lift up the name of Jesus, while also evangelizing to, and engaging with, our local community.
Founded in 1986, the Apostolic House of Prayer (AHOP) is located in an inner-city neighborhood on the Southside of Chicago, IL, known as the “Back of the Yards.” We have been planted in an area that is ripe for the harvest. AHOP is a place for real people, with real issues, who serve a real God. Our motto is to “Pray Until Something Happens.” Our church has been built on a solid Apostolic foundation, focused on evangelism and rehabilitation. Some of the pillars of our church have been our Drug & Alcohol Ministry, Youth Ministry & Community Outreach, in addition to our radio & TV Ministry. We are a church of love, faith, and family.
