Prayer for the City of Los Angeles and Surrounding Areas

The Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. joins the United States and the world in prayer for the City of Los Angeles, the surrounding areas and the residents, businesses, organizations and all others impacted by the devestating fires that raged across the city. Our hearts go out to all who experienced the loss of their families, loved ones, homes, houses of worship and familiar places that speak to our hearts and souls.

We salute the dedicated First Responders who risked their own lives to serve those in the Los Angeles area. We are persisting in prayer for their strength to continue their much needed work in the days and weeks ahead.

I encourage you to continue to pray for the City of Los Angeles, our fellow man, and the families of all who are impacted. While I am yet grateful that no churches affiliated with the P.A.W. were affected by the fires, my heart remains heavy because so many have simply lost so much. Indeed, we must come together to pray for Los Angeles and uphold the city and surrounding area in the days to come.

Despite the challenges we see ahead, we yet hold on to our faith in the Lord and hope for the future. We pray for the leadership of Los Angeles, community members and all who will navigate the next steps to rebuild. In God, we find the anchor to life’s temptests. We know that indeed “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46: 1 ).
