Oct. 31 Days of Prayer

To the Executive Board of Bishops, Suffragan Bishops, District Elders and Pastors of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. Grace and peace from God our Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, The Lord has impressed upon me as Presiding Bishop of this august international Body of Believers the urgent need for us to pray as we continue to witness the many tumultuous world events happening internationally. Now, more than ever, I believe we have a mandate from God to seek His face--and not just His hand--in the midst of tragedy, violence, persecution, war, terror, sickness and disease, and hatred that seems to characterize our headlines, news platforms, and conversations. Every where we look, we see evidence of satanic powers running rampant in our world. However, I am strongly persuaded that we serve a God that is bigger, stronger, and far greater than the works of men and demonic forces. We have been purchased by His Blood, and we believe in the saving, healing, peace-bringing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, I feel strongly impressed that we must dedicate the month of October to a month of31 Days of Prayer, focused on the eight topics below. I am asking you as a leader, Pastor and minister in this organization to join the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. in a dedicated time of prayer for the entire month of October 2021. We are at a critical juncture where we must see the Lord move on behalf of His people everywhere to bring peace, safety, healing, love and comfort in the face of all that we encounter every day. Below is the outline for prayer for each week, and the two focuses that should guide your prayer times.
  • Week One: Gun violence everywhere AND Religious persecution against Believers worldwide
  • Week Two: Healing from the COVID-19 pandemic AND Violence/hatred against the vaccinated or un-vaccinated
  • Week Three: Your Pastor/Leaders AND Spiritual integrity among God's leaders/people
  • Week Four: World wide trouble AND Revival in our Churches in 2021/2022
I entrust you to create a schedule and platform for prayer with your diocese and/ or congregation that best suits the needs of the community you serve. If you feel led to create a fast schedule for your diocese and/or congregation to participate in also, please do so at your discretion. Please use these prayer focuses as guiding points that we may be unified in our supplication before the Lord. Though we have long quoted this Scripture, it remains true: "If my people, which are called by me name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14). Now, more than ever, the people of the Name must call on Jesus fervently, effectually, and without ceasing. The Master's Servant, Presiding Bishop Theodore L. Brooks, Sr.
